| | So yesterday I volunteered with Julie at the Celebration of Life event. This is a huge dinner for all breast cancer survivors. It's really amazing because it was held at this beautiful country club and all the women who attended got free transportation and free dinners! They did not have to pay for anything. So Julie and I worked behind the Komen merchandise tables. It was a lot of fun, but extremeley tiring. We were on our feet from 5:00 until 9:30. I happened to be wearing platforms (which wasn't a good idea) and my feet were killing me. So by the time I got home I was exhausted. That's when I noticed that my kneecaps were purple! I actually bruised both my kneecaps from all the standing. One of my mother's friends said it could have been from dehydration, which was definately possible considering I only had 2 glasses of water the entire night. Anyway, my mom got all nervous because my knees were insanely bruised (no joke, I wish I took a pic of them) but after 20 mionutes of ice and a good nights rest they were fine. So that was my excitement for the evening. Lesson learned: don't wear platforms when you have to be on your feet for a long span of time! :) | comments: 1 comment or Leave a comment   |

| Today was my friend Kevin Tatly's senior recital for the piano. It was absolutely amazing. I'm gonna miss him next year. I'm looking foward to the summer so much. I was planning things that I have to do when I get home. First off....Bronx Zoo!! As long as it doesn't rain Matt is taking me to the zoo and we will probably go into Central Park, eat lunch, and go canoeing! I can't wait. Other ideas: Dorney Park, Seaside weekend, go karts, bumper boats, trip into Princeton, Yankee game, take a ride on Street Rd and visit Katie, Incubus concert, cruise with Julie/Z/and Matt, Washington Rock, BEACH!, anyother ideas? Good luck to everyone who has finals coming up! We Will Surive!!!

| Next year's rooming assignments are going to be crazy! I am rooming with Katie and our friend Jen (who kinda already lives on our floor so its kinda approproate) in the Ely triple on the first floor. Jon and Kyle are living in Ely on the 2nd floor. Marty is living on the Ely single next door to us. Nate and Jon are living in Ely 3rd floor next door to Sean. (All these people are currently living on my floor in Brewster) Now my friend Ryan is living next door to me in Ely, and my other music major friend is in Ely 101 down the hall. Katie and Desiree (sorry for all the Katies)are living in Brewster floor 3 which is connected to Ely, and my other friend Heather is living in Brewster 101. It's insane how many of my friends just happened to get rooms so close to mine. The only ones that were fixed were the three of the four rooms of people who currently live on my floor.

| So my spring break is so close I can almost taste it. I do not want to go to classes today and waste away the day in doors. I start class at 11:00 and do not finish until 6:00. Although I have an hour and a hald break in there, it doesn't feel like much. Fortunately my 12:30 class tomorrow has been cancelled so I will be done with classes at 9:30! YEAH!
Guess who will be performing at my school?! Colin, Brad, and Chip from Who's Line is it Anyway. They will be having a Who's Line is it Anyway performance this April and I have tickets! YEAH! | First off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIKE! Although he doesn't have livejournal and will probably never read this I felt it was necessary to start off my journal on that note. I am currently listening to Nelly's "Hot in Herr" and I feel like bustin loose....ha ha. I don't know what's wrong with me. People tell me I'm crazy and I am starting to believe them.
So I got my music history exam back and found out I got a 90!! whoot whoot. So two straight days of studying actually payed off. And then all that stress and tears that were shed for theory also paid off with a nearly perfect dictation exam! double whoot whoot!
I want to take this time to give a shout out to Jenn... HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENN!!! I know it isn't today but I probably won't have time to post tomorrow and I wanted you to know that I didn't forget about you!
I've determined that milk is the devil! It keeps making my poor roomie sick. Feel better Katie!

| | Well, I am very excited about being back at school. My first day back was awesome. Not only did I see so many familiar faces and smiles, all my classes ended early! What a way to start the week! I had my first day at work yesterday which was pretty amusing. I got everything from cash to traveler's checks to store credits. I am def prepared for anything now. =) Even though the bookstore was slow, the employees are so nice and I was able to meet and talk to a lot of new people. | | Lately I have been thinking about the shift in life that college causes. It is obvious that people change and friends come and go, but is that entirely true? Does college really change people or do people change because of college? Why is it that you can be best friends with someone for years and then college comes along and the two of you are just aquaitances? This question has been boggling my mind for quite some time now. I may be overreacting about some things, I know I tend to do that. But I'm not so sure in this case. | | Tonight I hung out with my friend Mike and we ate almost half of an ice cream cake. It was so awesome. We went to the New Jersey and Pennsylvania border and ate it in his car along the Delaware River. Not only that but we listened to cake while we ate cake. =) Anyway, off that topic a little bit my hell week is almost over! I am so relieved. All I have left are 3 finals and my jury. | | If you read my away message: "1:30 fire alarm = not happy Sam and Katie" you already know that we had a fire alarm and 1:30 in the morning last night. Katie decided to not hear the loud piercing alarm and I had to pull off her covers for her to even wake up. Then she asked "Who is it" as if the alarm was a cell phone or the washing machine across the hall. =) Had this been a real fire.... ah let's not think about that. Anyway, it was very cold outside and we were not pleased that we had to stay out until 2:00 in the morning. | | Well, I have a lot to get you all caught up on. For those of you who didn't know, I got the three solos I tried out for in my choir!! I had the concert today and it went so well. I sang all of the solos perfectly!!!! So I am thrilled about that. Finals have already started. grr. I had a Keyboarding final on Tuesday which was alright. I could have done better, but I am happy that I didn't bomb the sight singing. I def passed so I am very happy. I have my French final next Wed which shall be interesting, I have juries that afternoon, and on Friday is my Musicianship exam. Also, on Monday the 15th I have my Honors Academic Writing final and all I have to do is write a decent essay and I get 100 points! I am thrilled. We did have to write an essay, but we had 2 weeks to do it which is nice. Anyway, it is time for Sammy to get ready for bed. Oh, for those of you who unfortunately know this person, Brian Basile imed me last night! Not only did he want to call me again, he wanted me to give him a list of why I hated him after we broke up. | There's a man trying to cross the street. As he steps off the curb a car comes screaming around the corner and heads straight for him. The man walks faster, trying to hurry across the street, but the car changes lanes and is still coming at him.
So the guy turns around to go back, but the car changes lanes again and is still coming at him.
By now, the car is so close and the man so scared that he just freezes and stops in the middle of the road.
The car gets real close, then swerves at the last possible moment and screeches to a halt right next him. The driver rolls down the window. The driver is a squirrel. The squirrel says to the man says,

| | This drastic weather change has taken a nasty toll on my health. I feel like I am getting sick and I hate it. I'm a music major,I can't get sick!!! Oh, the other day were auditions for the solos in Vivaldi's Gloria. I think I did really well. One thing that was odd was in the Laudamus te I auditioned for the soprano 2 part (it is a soprano duet), but he had me try out for the soprano 1 part because he thought my voice would blend well with my friend Debbie's. We did sound good together, but I wanted the soprano 2 part. the part is either going to me and Debbie or these two other girls. Also, my overachievedness (I know I made that word up) has extended into college. Of the four solos being offered, I auditioned for 3. I did not make this one girl happy who basically had the solo in her hands had I not auditioned. I still think she is going to get it, but I wanted to at least give her some competition. Ah, I can be somewhat of a bitch sometimes. But hey, we'll see what happens. I have to go to an Opera Theater meeting in about 15 minutes, so I got to run.
